Android Terminal Based Real-Time Video Transmission Technology Research

With the popularity of3G mobile communication and the widespread use of the intelligent mobile terminal, mobile end users have faster data transfer rates and a good user experience. Since its birth, Android operating system not only perform the functionality of the operating system, is an integrated development platform, also it promote the development of the mobile communications industry, the mobile industry has brought tangible benefits and interests, while the Android platform has become more powerful and easy to use. However, intelligent end-users still cannot have a very good experience of real-time transmission of video in the3G mobile environment. This paper designs and implements a real time video transmission system based on Android smart terminal. It is flexible and convenient to using Android device to capture and record the target site, then after encoding, transmit to the server and browser anytime, anywhere.First of all, this paper analyzed the Real-time streaming video transmission and H.264standard technology, laying the theoretical foundation for the video streaming technology. Secondly, Combining with study on the current real time transport protocol, this paper proposed a video stream transmission framework and packaging strategy based on RTP. It constitute the core part of the wireless video streaming to realize the RTP protocol. At last, real-time video transmission system proposed is tested in WIFI and3G environment, and the test results are analyzed, We come to the conclusion that this real-time video transmission system’s performance meet the design requirements. Finally this paper give some shortcomings of the system and the direction of future research.
