Research And Implementation Of Inter-Domain Routing Feature Analysis And Location Tracking Technology

With the rapid development of the Internet, the network service providor (ISP) and the autonomous system is also increasing, which makes the the boundary gateway protocol (BGP) normal operation has been a great challenge. The challenge that comes mainly from commercial conflicts of interest has become increasingly evident in the increasing complexity of the network structure and ISP. BGP abnormal running directly and seriously impact on the Internet. These anomalies not only reduce the manageability of the Internet, but also caused serious economic losses for ISPs. In addition, customers of ISPs will also be affected.BGP abnormal events can be divided into two categories:the BGP security issues and BGP stability problems. BGP security issues fundamentally stems from BGP’s own detects, such as the lack of protection of the integrity of BGP messages and the lack of authentication mechanism of the authenticity of BGP information. Meanwhile, there are many reasons to cause BGP stability problems, such as link or router failure and recovery, routing software implementation problem, routing protocol configuration error, routers’storage capacity and CPU processing power lack.In this paper, the existing methods of checking inter-domain routing anomalies are analyzed and summarized. In order to improve the accuracy of the inter-domain routing anomaly detection on the causes and sources of the trace anomaly problems, the paper proposes inter-domain routing analysis and location-tracking technology. Four kinds of anomalies which are configuration error in violation of the rules, prefix hijacking, routing non-conformance and inter-domain routing oscillation are tracked the source of each abnormal event and pointed out that the affectd areas of each abnormal event by this technology.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:1) Current routing analysis technologies are studied in depth.2) The technology of detecting and tracking abnormal problems in inter-domain routing is propossed.3) Based on the analysis of inter-domain routing problems, the system of inter-domain routing feature analysis and location tracking is designed.4) Experiments are made to prove the function and performance of our technology.
