With the increasing needs of big scale networks and different kinds of applications, Software-Defined Network faced the challenges of availability, extendibility and security. Software-Defined Network used to focus on the network management within a domain, and cannot meet the needs of multi-domain network management.In order to solve the problem of extendibility and inter-domain communication, this paper focus on the inter-domain controller interaction, and gives solutions.After introducing the software-defined network architecture and analyzing the shortcomings of current Software-Defined Network controller, this paper proposed a module design for inter-domain controller interaction, and introduced the overall design, inner-domain information acquisition, data storage, and information sharing. This module is built on the famous SDN controller OpenDaylight, and extends the use of SDN controller to inter-domain usage. It not only insures the inner domain information security, but also meets the need for inter-domain information sharing.Secondly, to address the uneven distribution caused by lack of information, the paper researched the toad balancing algorithms, and proposed a load balancing algorithm based on switch load using inter-domain interaction module. The algorithm uses the count of packets the switches received to measure the switch load, and uses the exponential smoothing method for predicting. After obtaining the loads of switches, the algorithm finds the forwarding path for inter-domain traffic and manages the cross-domain flows to switches with lighter load, and finally realizes load balancing.Finally, this paper design the experiment scenes, and through the experiments on the simulation platform, the function of inter-domain module and the effectiveness of the algorithm is verified.
