With the rapid development of mobile Internet and wireless access technologies, wireless city provides the possibility of sharing wireless information for citizens, business and government, the access to wireless network service at anytime and anywhere on-demand has become a very important aspect of modern living and office. As a product of the social development of the new technology, the wireless city will greatly influence people’s life and work and promote further economic and social development. Wireless city unifies various information resources, integrates a wide range of services and applications. It provides users with a convenient platform to find information in a mass of Internet data. However, take a look at the already existed provincial and municipal wireless city portals, these wireless city portals all lack a full-text searching entrance to allow users to rapidly find the necessary resource in the mass of information and application platform. These portals cannot meet user’s deep, quick and accurate query needs. Existing search function within the wireless city portals just retrieves news and do not comply with the concept of full-text search.Based on the above background, this paper proposes a design and implementation of wireless city full-text retrieval system. With this system, users could quickly and accurately find the information or application entrance they need in the flood of information and applications. As the characteristics of comprehensive portal platform for wireless cities, the information contained is very extensive, this paper optimized search results based on keyword full-text search, all results are classified based on applications and information so that users through a simple keyword search can quickly find applications or specific content. In turn, this system can greatly improve the user experience of the wireless city and further improve the productivity of all walks of life.We have researched already existed provincial and municipal wireless city portals, summarized the problems and built up a full-text search system based on secondary development of Lucene. This paper completed the design of the overall system structure and sub-module implementations after explicit design goals:aim at wireless city covering a broad range of areas and high frequency appear of new words, based on existing Chinese word segmentation algorithms, this paper combined mechanical segmentation with statistical segmentation and provided a framework for Chinese Word segmentation with dynamic updating dictionary; improved Lucene indexing process and completed the indexing mechanism by configuration file; designed and implemented index incremental update procedure to ensure the synchronization and consistency of the index libraries with the wireless city business database; with the information stored in indexing Term Vector, the search process designed and implemented automatic results classification; system presentation layer ultimately provides users a simple search interface and has a good user experience by the search word association function of the user’s search tips.Finally, the last part of the paper has given the overall operating test results of wireless city full-text retrieval system based on Lucene, then summed up the completion of research work and proposed future development direction and system improvement goals of wireless city.
