| Recomposes from novels, TV series, movies and animations to online games are highly popular nowadays. Compared with traditional media, online game is interactive, multi-media and virtual. Therefore it is called "the5th artistic media" by Communications and Arts, with the hope that human being can go back to the era of communication by imagination due to the perfect game experience, aiming to the unity of inner-self and ego. However, the issues of online game addiction, violence and excessive commercialism have drawn social and academic attention.Based on the necessity to gain more knowledge on the recompose from novels to online games, this article analyses the rebuilt of characters, story lines and themes when recomposing a novel to an online game by dissecting a case, the novel Zhuxian to the game. Also, this article aims to explore the difference and influence during the rebuilding on aesthetics and experience. The use of narratology theory analyses the recompose methods, regular pattern and effects in the standing of practice and operation. Finally, by detailed and specific dissection of the case, this article comes up with a viewpoint that as a typical cultural consumption product, online game possesses a different logic with the literature, summarizing and discerning the nature of recompose from novels to online games. |
