The Design And Implementation Of Uyghur-Chinese Multimedia Electronic Dictionary Based On Android Platform

Now in XinJiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Chinese and Uyghur is widelyused in various fields as the official common language. Additionally, with theexpansion of application field of Uyghur information technology and the rapiddevelopment of mobile technology, a set of intelligent Uyghur-Chinese machinetranslation system or an bilingual electronic dictionary that can process the real-timeUyghur-Chinese translation in embedded devices such as PDA has a very importantpractical significance for the development of information technology such as theelectronic commerce in XinJiang.The paper mainly describes the important development of technology and therealization method about a Uyghur-Chinese multimedia electronic dictionary based onthe Android platform. The design of completed Uyghur-Chinese multimediaelectronic dictionary can run on embedded devices based on Android1.6and over, italso realize each function of the Uyghur-Chinese multimedia electronic dictionary.The paper first introduces research situation at home and abroad aboutUyghur-Chinese electronic dictionary and electronic dictionary run on the Androidplatform electronic dictionary, recommends the Android system architecture and theconstruction of the overall system development platform, explains the overall designof the thesaurus structure and realization of word retrieval algorithm. Then the paperfocuses on the design and implementation section of the Uyghur-Chinese Dictionarysystem: including the the overall network structure of our system, file structure andthe design of the overall architecture, functional framework and the overall process ofthe system; the realization method of system functions such as word query, wordlearning, word pronunciation etc. Finally we run the dictionary system in thesimulator and the real machine, it achieves the expected design goal, each functionalmodule can run normally. In addition, test software is used to test system overallperformance, test results show that the system operation performance is good.
