Since the last century, the researchers concentrated on the area of non-photorealisticrendering, Non-photorealistic rendering are different from the traditional sense of photo reali-stic Rendering either in the content or the purpose of the study. Digital art paintings, as aimportant pant of non-photorealistic rendering, are taken more and more attention by theresearchers and become a hot issue for non-photorealistic research. In the study of this article. We mainly focus on how to use of simulation technologies todraw a better oil painting. The article researcher begin her work mainly from the followingaspects. Firstly, introducing the situation and the tendency of non-photorealistic rendering.Secondly, introducing the relevant theory of non-photorealistic rendering. Thirdly.introducing some elements in the process of art painting drawing, such as image layeringdirection diffusion and brush model. Fourthly, introducing the user interface. In the end, showing the effects of the oil paining which are made by technologies of the computersimulation. From the study of the computer simulation technology in the oil painting, we contrast forthe oil painting effects of the computer simulation technology with the existing synthetic effe-cts. We can find easily, the oil painting effects of the computer simulation technologyare in a dominant position, either in the overall form of expression or in the local realistic exp-ressive. But the images generated by computer simulation with the effects of real paintingsalso have some distance. We believe that the distance will be reduced step-by-step with theresearch deeply.
