Considerfrom the housing industry, environmental protection, earthquake disasterprevention, and to accelerate the housing construction cycle, the light steelresidential housing has a vast market and prospects.Cold-formed steel production in China began in the1950s, with researchwork of "The Eleventh Five-Year Plan", low-level cold-formed thin-walled SteelStructures technical regulation have been developed. Low-level cold-formedthin-walled Steel Structures provide a new structural system for thedevelopment of residential building, which change the residential building oftraditional construction mode (Figure1). It can save the increasing scarcityland resources, and protect the increasingly fragile natural environment.Spreading low-level cold-formed thin-walled Steel Structures can give fullplay to the advantages of our steel-producing countries, and achieve therational use of land, energy saving, environmental protection, and limitedresources. This is in line with the national development of circular economyand building a conservation-oriented society, which can promote theconstruction industry, scientific and technological progress to promote thedevelopment of the housing industry is also significant. Using the advantagesof units fixed and user-friendly on-site installation, and factory mass productto reduce costs, so it can widely applied to rural areas.
