In recent years, with a steady economic development increasing and people’s living improving, traffic problems caused by more and more private cars comes into our live, and it is rising trend year by year and have become increasingly prominent. So society gives more attention and study on traffic. The reliability between the vehicle-to-vehilce and vehicle-to-infrustructrue can be improved by increasing the efficiency of transportation system, and then provide technical support for effective co-ordination and management of traffic. In this case, Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment(WAVE) comes out, it refers to communication between vehicles and the roadside infrastructure, as well as vehicle-to-vehicle.IEEE802.11p and IEEE1609.x protocol stack comprise WAVE network structure, which has only two modes of operation, one is WAVE Basic Service Set, which comprises a provider and its user, the provider initializes the transmission and gives out services to its user who only receive service. When user receives control data frame and set the raletive parameters if it decides to join, and then it can receives messages from the provider. The other type is the WAVE Independent Basic Service Set, which does not need the control data frame and can directly communicate with others for getting its interesting services. This paper gives detailed implementation of WAVE Short Message in two modes of Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment, and writes a program to test the performance of the communication between Roadside Units and Onboard Units and gives the analysis. Further, as to multi-hop distance communication problems between OBU and OBU this paper gives an algorithm, which choose the next hop vehicle to transmit messages by specifying the vehicle who can keep maximum communication time with requesting vehicle in a high-speed vehicular environment, this process is repeated until the message reaches its final destination. Then simulation proves than the performance of KMCT is better than FMHR when the vehicle speed is higher.
