Sensor technology has been applied widely. Optical fiber sensor has lots of advantages, such as high sensitivity and long distance measurement which has become a hot research topic. Since long distance temperature measurement is very common in fire alarm and power cable monitoring, it is valuable for the research of optical fiber temperature sensor system. In this paper, the implementation of algorithm used in distributed optical fiber sensor system was discussed.In this paper, an implementation of distributed optical fiber temperature sensor system is given, the operation principle and method is introduced in Chapter1and2. Optical signal with temperature information obtained by sensing fiber was converted into digital signal, and then the temperature information can be decoded. The software is mainly responsible about interaction with user, control of the system, decode of sensing information and interaction with remote client. The software also has a virtual oscilloscope tool to view the data curve.Then implementations of some algorithms involved in the sensor system were discussed and demonstrated in detail in Chapter3and4. A data resampling algorithm of virtual oscilloscope was designed, which can show the characteristics of the curve fast. An implementation of improved correlation algorithm based on fast Fourier transform is given and discussed in detail. Compared to the conversional method, the correlation algorithm based on FFT is more efficient. The two implementations of correlation algorithm were tested and analyzed in different hardware and operation systems. The results show that correlation algorithm with FFT can significantly reduce the time of computation, and meet the requirements of real-time system.In Chapter5this paper discussed some algorithms involved in the sensor system network module. Reliability and security of data during network transmission process must be guaranteed, and good scalability is required. So the data was encapsulated in XML data packet, then transmitted via TCP protocol. An algorithm to retrieve integral packet from TCP data stream with a cache queue was proposed. An encryption authentication algorithm was also designed, which combined the advantages of different paired encryption/decryption key of RSA algorithm and fast AES algorithm. Through this, efficient and secure information communication between server and client is realized.With improved measurement accuracy and speed, the requirements of data processing capacity of the system will increase greatly. This paper figured out some ways to improve the performance of the system, including optimization of algorithm and replace with faster hardware and so on. A feasibility analysis was given.
