As a new network system, most researches of Wireless sensork networks are still limited in simulation level and there are large gaps in the field of system realization. At the same time, as a key technology of the Internet of Things, the technology of wireless sensor networks has ushered in new opportunities and challenges.In this paper, a brief analysis of the operating system for wireless sensor networks based on Imote2hardware platform is firstly introduced. According to the recommendations, adding an adaption between the IPv6protocol and IEEE802.15.4, put forward by the Working Group of the6LoWPAN, this paper describes the details of implention of this processdure based on Imote2.Routing, as an essential function in wireless sensor networks, is implemented based on the imporved AODVjr, added as a way of Mesh-Under. The final implementation was tested and the test results show that the implementation runs well. The achievement comprises the function of basic routing protocol such as establishment, maintenance and reconstruction of a route.After building the basic platform, this paper introduce a prototype of a smart home system composed of Imote2and a normal server, installed with MySQL and Tomcat. The details including the basic implementent and processes of this prototype is depicted here.At last, this paper discusses the situation of wireless sensor networks when the MAC protocol is IEEE802.11using the hardware produced bythe research apartment where the writer reseraches. At last the writer discribes the details of transfer routing protocol and test results.
