With the development of sensor technology and wireless communication technology and network technology, the research on wireless sensor network (WSN) has been developing rapidly. Wireless body area network (WBAN) is a branch of wireless sensor network in the research field of medical and smart positioning. WBAN is consisted of signs sensors which are arranged on the body and smart mobile devices and the remote information center. Currently, the research on wireless body area network is still in its infancy. In December2011, the International Organization for Standardization established a wireless body area network standard-IEEE802.15.6. The IEEE.802.15.6standard defines technical requirements of medium access control (MAC) layer and physical (PHY) layer and network security. It indicates that the research on WBAN is gradually towards standardization.Due to the particularity of human body and the restriction of signs sensor node, the key technologies of wireless body area network are different from traditional wireless sensor networks. Through deeply analysis of the characteristics and advantages of wireless body area network and research of key technologies, this paper aims to present a security solution of WBAN based on Bluetooth.First, this paper intruduces the sturcture of WBAN, and focuses on the network physical layer protocol data unit(PLDU) as well as the medium access control layer frame structure and the channel resource competition and collaboration mechanisms. Then this paper discusses the data fusion technology of wireless body area network. Second, due to the limited storage space and computing power, the uncertainty of the physical security of the network area, the limited bandwidth and communication energy and the application-related characteristics, the WBAN network security is different from traditional network security. The WBAN security objectives require availability, confidentiality, integrity and non-repudiation, and the IEEE802.15.6standard defines three levels of security, a security scheme based on the AES encryption algorithm and Shamir threshold scheme was presented. Through deeply analysis of the process of encryption, decryption and integrity testing, this security scheme is consistent with the highest level of IEEE802.15.6standard. It ensures information confidentiality, integrity and also satisfies the network fault tolerance androbustness requirements, and detects the corrupted sensorduring transmission as soon as possible.Third, with temperature sensor, pulse sensor, electrocardiogram sensor(ECG), and the central control chip, a signs parameter detection system was designed. With the research of short-distant wireless communication technologies, and based on the WBAN security Encryption algorithm, a data transmission system based on Bluetooth and a data receiving system based on Android were presented.In the last, this paper presents a outlook on the prospect of WBAN. Due to the wide application prospect of wireless body area network in the field of telemedicine, consumer electronics and entertainment, the research of this dissertation has very good theoretical and practical values.
