The Research And Application Of Push VOD DRM Core Technology

Along with the arrival of the digital age, more and more advanced computer network communication technology applied in the field of digital cable television. It makes the development of cable network in the digital, networked, integrated information interaction to become the most important network resources of the development of digital in the future society. Push VOD system is successfully developed to vigorously develop push video on demand business. However, the implementation and development of Push VOD system brings greater challenges to digital right management technology, the traditional conditional access technology Push VOD system cannot meet the security requirements. So, in line with the existing digital copyright protection technology, this paper proposes a design scheme of DRM system Push VOD.In this paper, according to the typical digital rights management system, the reference of a variety of domestic and foreign mobile DRM protection technology and schemes, and connecting with the characteristics of Push VOD video system, a set of DRM protection system application in Push VOD system has been’designed. In this system, the DRM technology and CA technology will be compatible with and combination. The new Push VOD DRM system does not affect the business processes of the existing CAS and makes good use of the business support comprehensive of DRM system and the security of the CA system in the existing digital TV network. In addition, the in-depth study of the key management logic and management agencies has been made in this article. The core of This Push VOD DRM key management logic is to construct the "hardware management root key" as the root of trust, and then construct a complete, closed loop key management trust chain mechanism based on the trust root. According to the safety requirement of Push VOD system, and combined with the key management mechanism of CA technology, we define a kind of high security4-layer key management mechanism as well as the supporting key management requirements.We also introduce the whole structure design of the new Push VOD+DRM system after application of Push VOD DRM model. This system completed the protection of the digital content in the entire life cycle. It also satisfies the security requirement of Push VOD system security requirements, and provides the pay business support for Push VOD system. The ultimate users can use the set-top box built-in client software to communicate with the server so that the overall business process of business application, receive content and use the content according to the authorize is completed. Finally, we analyze the system’s performance. The two kind of scene simulation testing and the testing data prove that the proposed DRM scheme has a higher security and feasibility and reaches the Push VOD digital copyright protection purpose. The new Push VOD DRM system model presented in this paper gives good reference for subsequent designers. They can continue to improve this system model.
