The Design And Implementation Of Digital TV Conditional Access System

Conditional Access technology has being developed for many years, it is a driving force for the development of radio and television industry. In recent years, CA technology has been a hot area of research and development in radio and television. Along with the development of science and technology, digital TV has enjoyed a prevalent status in families. In China, digitalization of cable television is necessary, for it closely concerns the national development, social benefits and people’s interests. In order to let people better enjoy TV programs, National Broadcasting Bureau has being firmly developed digital television, and has already formulated a schedule of gradually digitizing analog television as early as 2003. Digital TV, with a strong potential for development, is the new emerging industries in this century, can enhance the national economy. Thus all countries over the world have established a series of related programs and policies to promote the digitalization process.In this thesis, my focus is on the design and implementation of digital TV CA system and user management system. They are inseparable, because operators’ management of television programs and users could not realize without the interaction of these two systems.In Chapter One, the concepts, features and technical advantages of digital television are first introduced, then a simple elaboration of the concept, composition and technology of DVB. And last is a description of the concepts and the status quo of conditional access system.Next, in the theoretical studies of Chapter Two and Three focuses are arranged on the working principle and typical framework of the CA system, and analysis of the same density and multi-secret encryption method and encryption processes.These two chapters also discuss the operating conditions for the CA system and security architecture, and further analyze and evaluate the security of this systemChapter Four particularly describes the functional realization of access system and user management, shows the interface of screenshot of software, citing the interface functions of between the two software systems and finance, customer service and other systems, also proceed a simple enumeration and analysis of key codes for each module.In the end of this thesis, I summ up my research work in this thesis, looking forward to the conditional access technology development, and focuses on the development of machine card separation technology.
