TD-LTE wireless system is the TDD verision of LTE. It is also a4G mobile communication standard of our own and is compatible with current TD-SCDMA wireless system. This LTE technique bases on OFDM technique and MIMO technique, it requires high data rates, high quality and high mobility at the same time.This paper focuses on the receiver architecture design of TD-LTE downlink system and channel estimation implementation and optimization based on GPP. The UE receiver design involves study of the receiving process, framework building and module definition, providing structure foundation for the physical layer platform and also make sure the following module can be deveopled successfully. What’s more, the wireless channel environment has a great influence in the performance of wireless communication system, this makes the propagation path between the transmitter and receiver are very complex, in this case, Channel estimation module, which can estimate the Channel frequency response, is a very important module in the TD-LTE system, the accuracy of this module will affect the performance of the whole system. So, ensuring the reliability and stability of the Channel estimation module is the key of the TD-LTE system.The first chapter introduces the history of the mobile communication and the background of TD-LTE system research, studys the features of the wireless channel and knowlesge of the physical layer, including some Basic concepts and key technologies. The second chapter discusses the downlink receiving process of TD-LTE system in details. At the same time, we complete the frame design, function segmentation and module definition.The thrid section is the key content of this paper, it proposes a new channel estimation algorithm based on DFT. The simulation result proves that this algorithm has a lower complexity as well as better performance compared to other approached. So it is chosen to be the realization scheme on the GPP platform. The last chapter introduces the design of the channel estimation module and its realization on GPP platform. It also records the optimization procedure and summarizes the optimization method.
