With the development of the Internet industry, as well as the increasing growth of the information transmission bandwidth, more and more applications emerge as the times require.P2P software as daily entertainment and life tools, has a wide range of applications while consuming a large amount of network resources and swallowed bandwidth resources. Not only affect the WLAN user’s network experience but also seriously hampering the normal work and study. How to effectively identify and control P2P traffic becomes the important topic of network management application.The traditional P2P detection system often uses single-mode matching principle and can only detect some software. It has much limitations. At the same time, single pattern matching recognition rate is relatively low, unable to meet the current demand for network detection. Due to the simple structure, traditional detection system does not use the flow scaling techniques. So it needs more stringent hardware environment, the system cost can also cause unnecessary overhead.In order to enhance the recognition rate and the matching performance of the system, after in-depth understanding of the DPI technical background and analysis of its application future, this paper chooses to design a set traffic detection system based on DPI technology. Combine the traditional business management module with the latest DPI deep packet inspection technology, with the advanced matching algorithms and innovative multidimensional identification mode, enhancing the performance of the system to the optimal state.The main work of this paper is summarized as follows:(1) Generally descript P2P protocol transmission mode, the contents of the protocol, briefly introduce the basic methods of traffic detection and the Development prospect.(2) Expatiate the DPI technical background and development status, proposing P2P traffic detection system based on DPI technology design ideas, briefly introduce constitute and processes of AC algorithm.(3) Expatiate the structure of system framework and the modules and analysis the process and structure of each module. Propose multi-pattern matching ideas.(4) Expatiate writing rules of knowledge base, introduce the interaction of a set of forth P2P software in the highest utilization rate and combined system matching mode to write Knowledge Base, testing system accuracy and flow statements in the same time.(5) Summarize the content of this essay, analyzing the deficiencies. Look forward to the future of DPI traffic detection technology combined with the situation of the reality.
