With the development of science and technology, the scale of the city increases day by day. Meanwhile, the urban public infrastructure expands with the grow of the city. Thus, more and more city administrators realize that they must adopt modern methods and technology to achieve scientific management to the programming and construction of the city because only through this way could they govern the basic information of the public infrastructure effectively and accurately; could they offer reliable evidence for the programming, construction, management and service of the city so as to improve their guarantee capability and promote the rapid development of the city.The digital city management, a useful method on urban public utilities management, emerged with the need of the current situations mentioned above. With the cooperation of the government authorities, the designers use modern information technology, such as internet of things,3S and so on, to collect, integrate and use the basic information and operation conditions of the infrastructure so as to ensure the safety, efficiency and emergency command realization of the city management and finally to enhance problem dealing and decision making abilities to improve the public service level.As one of the most important platforms to the digital city management in Jinan, the data integration and monitoring platform is a comprehensive service platform which collects all the basic data and operational data of eight business enterprises-water supply, gas supply, heat supply, water draining, flood prevention, lighting, road and bridge, and water quality. The operators use real time sampling and quantitative sampling of the same data standard and management rule to extract the data and collect them in a center database. With the center database as a basis, the operators build a data integration and monitoring platform used for Bureau of Public Utility and its subordinate enterprises. This platform could not only manage and integrate the operational data effectively and timely, but also offer basic data for other platforms of the municipal administration.This platform satisfies multiple databases usage and isomerous data integration, and at the same time do not influence the independent operation of any special application system.
