In this paper, based on the analyses of Ultrasonic acoustic properties, the type of Ultrasonic sensor is defined which is combined with the needs of the present study. Through the experiment, there are huge differences between stone and soil about the reaction of Ultrasonic echo signals, es the peak of Echo signal is most significant, which could be used as the basis on the detection of surface material. Refernce to these topics in the theoretical and experimental research and the demands of planting machine, designed a auto-test automatic control system based on STC12C5A60S2MCU. The system includes multi ultrasonic sensors module, ultrasonic control module and main control module. The ultrasonic launch and receive ultrasonic pulse. The ultrasonic control module calculated distance and acquire the echo signal value. The ultrasonic control module transfer the distance valule and the echo signal value to the main control module through RS-485. So the main control module could judge the earth surface whether Suitable for drilling to plant trees by the values and judge rules.The paper aims at the advanced ultrasonic testing technology and multi-sensor fusion technology is applied in the double drill deep planting machine to detect the afforestation ground substance in order to realize the auto detectiong technology and improve the intelligence and automatic level of planting machine, at the same time whiche could reduce the loss of the drill.
