As the population aging and the raises of life expectancy, the old people’s health and safety problems become current society’s priorities. Through the computer technology to solve the elderly health care problem become a hot research field. According to related survey, fall in cases are more than50%among the elderly cases of injured to the hospital;Fall in cases are more than80%among serious injury cases requiring hospitalization. This paper mainly discusses one tumble detecting method for the elderly and implements the wireless positioning and automatic alarm function. It makes the elderly get treatment in time after the tumble. This paper concludes and sums up some tumble detecting algorithms firstly, and sums up their advantages and disadvantages. This paper select the wearable sensors detection mode as the research direction after considering from the viewpoint of practical and algorithm accuracy. This article selects the ADXL345three-axis digital acceleration sensor which is provided by ADI, the sensor is used for real-time detection of the human body acceleration data and transport data to the MSP430F149which is provided by TI. MSP430F149make a judgment through the algorithm, and alarm if the data comply with the requirements for tumble. SMS alert application of GPSOne technology, This system also designed some other functions, for example USB charging and cancel the alarm. The tumble detection algorithm can achieve preset goals which is designed by this paper. The accuracy can reach above90%through test. In this paper, the existing technology is improved:The wearing position of device no longer tightly restricted. Enrich the judgment method for collision detection by a method which is evolution by the concept of variance.
