Design Of CCD Coding Exposure Camera

CCD coded exposure camera is a kind of new CCD camera which it can coding control the exposure time and exposure frequency, the pictures obtained by coding exposure, retains the high-frequency information of the image, It’s a good solution to restorationringing effects motion-blurred image. In this paper, I designed a coded exposure camera with CCD ICX445as image acquisition sensor.This paper designed a CCD camera which can encode control exposure by that algorithm. The camera can be divided into three modules, image acquisiton module, imge transmission module and image processing and display module. The image acquision module uses ICX445of Sony CCD as image sensor with CCD driver chip AD9923A. On one hand AD9923A provides horizontal and vertical sequence etc for ICX445driver, on the other hand, AD9923A enlarge the analog signal received from CCD image sensor, and then converts it into digital signals. The initialization of AD9923A uses MCU C8051F340. The image transmission module adopts FPGA as the main control chip. The FPGA control string TLK2501and conversion chip to receive command from PC, at the same time, FPGA send the collected data to PC via optical fiber throu the convert chip, FPGA and AD9923A collect image data through the bus connection. The image processing and display module uses the PC as a monitor. In order to guarantee the image data transmission over a long distance rapidly, we write image display in MFC programming software on computer, the display software of upper computer controls the beginning, stop and playback of the image collection, then send the control command to lower computer via optical fiber, access the PCIE switch optical fiber adapter card in computer motherboard PCIE bus slot using optical fiber as a transmission channel.The experimental results show that the CCD coding exposure camera completed the collection, transmission and processing of image, gain the real-time image in PC. The actual test shows that single exposure time can be accurated to55us, image is obtained by6times of exposure can get satisfactory motion blurred image. Moreover, the tests of this system operates satably in a long time.
