Monitoring system has a scientific name called Supervisory Control and DataAcquisition System (SCADAS). With the function of SCADA getting diverse, nowSCADA has been widely used in household, industrial, agriculture, telecommunications, road traffic and so on. But SCADA still has some insufficientto overcome. Firstly, the technical solutions of the Monitoring system is differentfrom each other and various standards adopted by the equipments, these issues leadto the equipment compatibility and data heterogeneous. So it is difficult to realizethe sharing and reusing of the equipment and data in various system; Secondly,SCADA does not smart enough, namely the system can’t provide the user with theappropriate service according to the user’s behavior and specific environment.Based on the above reasons, this paper proposes a SCADAmodel—SKBSCM (Semantic Knowledge Based Supervisory Control Model), themodel adopts the semantic technology to achieve the device and data reusing aswell as intelligent monitoring execution pattern. The SKBSCM is divided into dataaccess layer, data semantic layer, semantic reasoning layer and application layer. The data access layer collects different types sensor data, meanwhile allows theequipment connecting with each other in the system; The second layer is datasemantic layer, which add semantic tag to the sensor data and unifies the dataformat, so as to make it possible to achieve the semantic fusion and sharing of thedata; Semantic reasoning layer implements the function, which automatically sensethe user’s requirement and generate solution by integrating and inferring thereal-time environmental information, users’ personal information and deviceinformation; The application layer provide a wide range of standard services.Through the user demand and user operation command, the application layer callthe system to provide the corresponding service. In order to realize SKBSCM, the paper mainly conducts two tasks. the firstone is to create the domain ontology. Ontology has an excellent concept hierarchy, good ability of information organization and knowledge expression. The ontologycan reach a common understanding between human and machine about themeaning of concept, which is the key to realize the automatic data processing. Thesecond one is to design and implement the rule-based reasoning for SKBSCM.This paper selects Jena rule-based reasoning engine to realize rule-based reasoning. The design of the rules is based on the concept’s semantic relationships andhierarchical relationships which is described in the ontology, in this way the rule can achieves a better combination with semantic ontology. Rule-based reasoningengine take the semantic data and inference rules as the reasoning’s real-time datasources. The rule adopts IF-THEN structure, in the IF-THEN structure, IF isfollowing conditional statement which is as the trigger conditions to perceive theuser requirement, and THEN is following the assert, which contain inferred userrequirement and it’s solution. In this paper, SKBSCM is applied in smart home domain, automaticallysenses the user’s requirement, and integrates the environmental information, equipment information and user information to automatically generate appropriatesolutions. In the system, users don’t have to participate in handling the complexequipment and know the working flow, they only need to set up the systemaccording to their favor and then get the appropriate service, ultimately the systemwould providing a convenient and comfortable space to the users. After repeatedtests, the system is running in good condition, and the function has achieved thedesired objectives.
