With the rapid construction of a nationwide of high-speed railway, the trainspeed up from120km/h to350km/h, which bring convenience to people’s lives andthe great difficulty to the coverage of mobile communications. Due to the Dopplereffect of the train fast moving and the special materials of high-speed rail carriages,the body penetration loss is very large, which will lead to Frequent switching, lowconnection rate, high rate of dropped calls, affect the felling of using of mobilecommunication services on high-speed trains.Sichuan province has a vast territory. High-speed rail line go through thecomplex environment in dense urban areas, remote rural areas, hills, mountains,tunnels, wireless environment is complex, this network resources is lack, poorcoverage, low perception of mobile users., the experience of Sichuan Mobile ofSichuan existing network coverage of high-speed rail is little, Sichuan Mobilespecialized organization of the human high-speed rail wireless coverage solutions inorder to solve this problem. The wireless coverage solutions base on the practicalapplication, mainly solve the coverage problem of the GSM network which ismainly used on high-speed rail.First, the study begin from the GSM wireless network Doppler effect on thehigh-speed running train, then analysis the loss of all kinds of models train, confirmthe loss values in the study, use the appropriate propagation model to calculate themaximum path loss and cell EIRP, confirm the size of the overlap region of two basestation and the distance between base station.On the basis of theoretical studies, the article give specific recommendations tohigh-speed rail coverage program in Sichuan province, including the cover mode,covering planning, capacity planning, networking strategies, special scene coveragesolutions and equipment selection. Then give the special design to Sichuan Mobilehigh-speed rail network, including the wireless network coverage program, specific site program, capacity setting and the construction program of others equipments,use the innovative design program which is extending station lines. Finally, with thefinish of the project, according to the analysis of the index, we may see the programeffectively improve wireless coverage in Sichuan province high-speed rail, enhancethe network indicators, so as to enhance customer satisfaction.This article analysis the possible problems of GSM network coverage onhigh-speed railway, provide the advices and some reference of the construction andstrategies on this network. What we have done give a lot of engineering experienceto the work of Sichuan Mobile’s high-speed rail coverage.
