In recent years, China’s insurance market has been gradually open and grown. But dueto numerous different factors in consumption level, consumption idea and consumptionmode between people in Chinese mainland and people in the regions of Europe, America,Hong Kong and Macao, the insurance marketing mode is thus greatly difference from thatof foreign countries. Such difference makes each insurance company have to continuouslythink and explore. Sales management system is a management method serving the internalof a company. Sales team architectures and job level and category of personnel in eachdomestic insurance company are different. Besides, the salary and appraisal involved havehuge differences. Thus, currently, China has no sales management system widelyrecognized by insurance companies.In order to solve non-uniform sales system and incomplete sales rules of insurancecompanies, it is imperative to establish and perfect a complete and superior salesmanagement system.At present, sales management system of most insurance companies mainly involvefour major parts: team management, personnel management, salary management andappraisal management. However, since each insurance company has different sales teamarchitectures with different job levels of personnel and different sales modes, the salaryand appraisal involved are greatly different.The significance of this paper is to utilize advanced and scientific informatizationhandling method to make insurance business management scientific, standard andsystematic in combination of computer-assisted functions without secondary developmentso as to better improve operation efficiency of insurance companies. Besides, insurancebusiness management adapts most circumstances and meets all functional and personnel requirements in the company. Through in-depth analysis and researches, this paper refersto rule engine theory and combines the salary and appraisal requirements of each channelof life insurance to design and develop a set of salary computation and appraisalcomputation system based on rules.This system adopts rule description based on rule engine. In other words, when therules of salary and appraisal computation alter, it is only necessary to reissue the rules inno need of modifying any code. The system will channel customization module for lastingconfiguration of team and job level information. This module just needs to maintain threesheets: team information sheet, job level information sheet as well as job level and teammapping sheet. Relevant functions of team management and personnel management arebased on the three sheets. Job level information is not hard-coded into the program. In thisway, the adaptability and expansibility of the system can be greatly improved.Currently, this system has been designed, developed and passed function and performancetests. The test results show the system operates stably. In addition, this system has beenused in a company. The result shows this system can meet selling operation handlingrequirements of branch offices and head offices, improves salary and appraisal automationlevel, effectively boosts sales quality and reaches system design requirements. The designwithout secondary development which can satisfy company requirements effectivelyimproves business handling capacity of insurance companies. Through writing the paperabout design and implementation of sales system for insurance companies under newsituation, I have profound and comprehensive understanding of software deveop0mentprocess, in-depth thinking of overall design and detailed design of software design and alsocertain mastery of similar software development.
