In Designing for Interaction:Creating Innovative Applications and Devices, Dan Saffer said:In a sense, all things have their input and output. This paper’s starting point is "input" and "output", which was essential to the computer. From there, discussing the ways user experience designer could use during the process of designing a software. Because a user experience designer’s goal is to continually improve these input methods and output interface. The paper is divided into three parts as follows, the first part begins with the birth of graphical user interfaces(GUIs), and elaborates the way what a visual designer uses when designing user experience:the common definition of form and behavior. The second part is the main part of the paper, it elaborates the source of the activity workflow from real world, its application and visual conversion. Use the activity workflow from real world as a metaphor into visual interface, now the application is different from before, no more static or piece of dynamic. It’s using the dynamic sequences as a whole, and it could provide foundation framework for visual building. The third part is based on a mobile phone application "Ringbell", which designed by myself, to elaborates how to do the conversion from reality activity process to visual interfaces.
