Weibo bring the changes of the communication mode, which lead to the newfeatures of the public opinion’s formation. This article mainly does some research onthe news environment and the principal factors in the process of the formation of thepublic opinion. It enriches the theory on the mechanism of the opinion’s formation; atthe same time, this research will help us to understand the core motivation of thepublic opinion’s formation in weibo.Firstly, this article will analyze the news environment in weibo from themacroscopic angle. The news environment refers to a cognitive system, in whichpeople can realize such kinds of informational participation for the development ofmedia technology. It also reflects the special social and cultural background behindthis process. The news environment is related to these factors, theintegration of news producers and consumers, the pseudo Environment in weibo andrumors.Secondly, this article will analyze the role of opinion leaders andfollowers respectively in the formation of weibo public opinion by the researchmethods of content analysis and text analysis. Opinion leader attract fan’s attentionand dominate public opinion through their advantage and strategy of communication.The interaction of the both sides can form the public opinion, in which they containand influent each other. Trough the data processing, the influence of opinion leader isnot defined by number of their fans. In these three types of opinion leaders whosefollowers over one hundred thousand, one million and ten millions respectively, theinfluence of opinion leader whose followers over one hundred thousand is the biggestin the formation of the weibo opinion. Besides the opinion leaders alsohas obvious geographical and indentified tendency. In the process of the opinion’sformation, there is a new kind of opinion leaders who are labeled in weibo. On theone hand, due to their limited right to speak, the followers in this process havebecome passive recipients. On the other hand, because of followers’ fixed mode of thinking, the opinion leaders will possibly get a “view kidnapped”.
