At present, the database used more widely, and develops toward large-scale and complicated direction, the performance requirements of database is getting higher and higher. How to make full use of the existing hardware and software resources, to gain the maximum data processing ability to become an important topic of database applications. Using the materialized views and partitioning technologies to improve the database performance is the goal of this thesis research.The thesis’research background is the Guizhou Local TAX Bureau Data Centralized, according to the characteristics of the project:Data information reached million above, for example, in Guiyang local taxation bureau, the total of the levy data table has42,066,496, and data monthly growth in million above. Only using a revenue table in Liupanshui local taxation bureau as an example, in June2010Liupanshui area for incoming tax data is89,755, apply for tax data is126,745; the business system is complex and changeable, a Large application platform is based around this provincial data center, including many comprehensive application and decision support system such as "foundation application inquires","the standard for statistical reports","decision support inquires", etc. The standard for statistical reports must produce143statements; the data in these statements are summarizing and contrast information for each local taxation bureau, can provide the real-time tax information for revenue leader, according to the needs of the business to statistics and comparison. Thus database performance pressure is very big. Therefore, this article point of research is combined partitioning technologies and materialized views technology, establishing the partition materialized views and multistage materialized views to optimize the database system. Meanwhile, in Guizhou province local taxation bureau’s data focused project, using materialized views technology achieve the ETL data extracting function for nine local taxation bureaus. And by creating a multistage materialized views realize data fusion.Research work mainly involves the following several aspects:1. This article materialized views and partitioning technologies were discussed in detail, and analyses the materialized views and partitioning technologies about the realization mechanism and the basic principle, in Oracle11g.2. Through materialized views and partitioning technologies for the thorough research. combining with the actual project needs, proposes an optimization method——two-stage partitioning technologies and multilevel materialized views, and the using of materialized views to achieve the ETL data extracting function.3. Combined with the author’s participation in the Guizhou Local TAX Bureau Data Centralized program, giving materialized views and partitioning technologies in the practical application of strategy and realization, and tested using materialized views and partitioning technologies to optimize the database performance, the result is effective. The research results validated materialized views and partitioning technologies and the combination of the two technologies of database performance using the feasibility and effectiveness of the optimal aspects.
