Digital image processing is also known as computer image processing. It is a process that transforms the image signal into digital signal processed by computer. Now, digital product industry has developed rapidly, and has great business prospects. And digital video post-processing techniques, promoting the development of digital industry, has a big research value and economic value. so, digital video industry has spent their more energy to study image processing, and has produced various digital video post processing chip.In this thesis, we introduce the basic knowledge of video image processing, and describe the research background and research status of video image processing at home and abroad. Especially we study much basic theory knowledge and framework process of video post processing system, and discuss many problems. This thesis re-search the variety of video post processing algorithm theory, make own answer based on existing problems. My main work is focused on peaking, digital luminance transient improvement, dynamic contrast enhancement etc. We draw a conclusion compare with existing algorithm. At the same time, proving the feasibility and function by making much experiment.We organize the thesis as follows:In Chapter1, we present a quick overview of background, research status at home and abroad and chapters arrangement.In Chapter2, we mainly introduce the theory of digital video processing, and basic knowledge and specific flow of digital video processing system. But, we mainly focus on video image post processing that including de-interlace, scaler, de-noise, image en-hancement and so on. If we want to get best image effect, we must do more study on image post processing.In Chapter3, we discuss the peaking, digital luminance transient improvement, color transient improvement. By analysing existing problems on image enhancement, we make a answer. And the experiment result is perfect.In Chapter4, we mainly study dynamic contrast enhancement, color enhancement. We develop better algorithm for existing problems on this domain.Finally, in Chapter5, we summarize the paper and give expectations in the future.
