Raw slurry production process is an important process for raw material processing in thealumina industry production. Slurry production process is composed of blending sub processand blending-tank sub process. All kinds of raw materials form raw slurry after slurryblending and blending-tank process. Quality indicators of slurry affect the final quality of thealuminum oxide products directly.The optimal control goal of raw slurry production process is to make the actual value ofeach quality index reach the setting value. Because of the complexity of the slurry productionprocess, it is difficult to adopt existing method to realize the optimization control of theprocess. Aiming at the technology characteristics of slurry production process, in this thesis,optimization control for slurry production process is separated into optimal control for theblending sub processes and blending-tank sub process. Optimization control methods to eachprocess are proposed, and optimal control software to realize the above control method isdeveloped. The hardware-in-loop simulation platform of raw slurry blending process is alsodeveloped. In this thesis, the main work is summarized as follows:(1) According to process characteristics, the optimal control objectives of raw slurryproduction process are separated into optimal control objectives for the blending subprocesses and optimal control objectives for the blending-tank sub process. In the blendingsub processes, optimization control method which is based on two layers structure consists ofloop setting layer and loop control layer is proposed. Loop setting layer is composed ofsetting model and mill allocation model. During the blending-tank sub process, blending-tankoptimization model is established firstly, and then use the improved particle swarm algorithm(PSO) to solve the model, so as to realize the optimization control of blending-tank subprocess.(2) According to the optimal control method above, the slurry blending processoptimization control system is designed and developed. This thesis describes the function andthe structure of the optimization control system, development of all kinds of program, anddevelopment of software interface.(3) The hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform for the slurry blending process isproposed. The overall structure, the hardware platform and software platform of thesimulation platform are designed.
