The advent of embedded system and its continuous improvement ofperformance, accelerate the progress of miniaturization and intelligentizationgreatly of meter and instrument. Embedded instrument has the advantage ofsmall size、low power、cheap, besides,its development cycle is short, cost islow, and has greater advantage and potential, in the integrated design ofcomputer and instrument.The main content of this article research is to realize digital display、paperless recording function、 analog display function、 line-cross alarmfunction、intelligent control function in embedded measurement and controlinstrument based on ARM9.We used a S3C2440A processor core board inspecific practice, on the basis of this core board, we designed hardware circuit ofthe measurement and control instrument, including the main board and theexpansion board used to input and output of signals. There are mainly Max232、DM9000and other communication chips and touch-screen interface on the mainboard, and signal amplification circuit、switch input and output circuits and D/Aconverter circuit on the expansion board.On the side of system migration andsoftware design, completed the building of cross-development environment,completed the migration of embedded Linux system, including Boot-loadertransplantation、 Linux kernel transplantation、 file system migration; thehardware device driver development and testing in embedded Linux system, forexample, A/D converter driver、D/A converter driver、switch value driver, etc.;simulated the fuzzy control algorithm used in the measurement and controlinstrument in MATLAB; completed interface design in application system.Experiments shows that embedded measurement and control instrumenthas rich communication interfaces、 friendly man-machine interfaces and complex algorithm can be designed in it, will become the developmentmainstream of instruments. This paper gave a complete embedded Linuxdevelopment, especially the device driver development process, and it has acertain reference to personnel engaged in the development of embeddedmeasurement and control instrument.
