In nowadays society which is advocated peace life,video monitoring system has been used inkinds of fields widely all around us.As the number of the use of monitoring system increased andpeople’s safe monitor accuracy requirements improved,monitors workload has been significantlygrowed.During the image acquisition,compression,transmission and storage of video monitoringequipment,the image distortion and quailty degradation will appear. One of monitors’ highestpriorities is maintenance monitoring equipment to control the image quality.This paper put forward the corresponding detection algorithm for some common imagedistortion types,including:image fuzzy,partial color,brightness anomaly,image noise,signal loss andso on.In addition,some man-made sabotage situations like camera be shaded by foreign objects,orcamera be moved,also has detection algorithm to test. This paper focuses on image fuzzy andshaded. Existing algorithm is simplified and improved, and the correctness of this algorithm isconfirmed by a series of experiment. The results show that this algorithm used in real-timemonitoring system is highly appropriate.Monitoring staffs can surveilance cameras working condition at any time through this system. Ifabnormal phenomenon appears,the system will alarm to remind staffs to handle it. It is helpful tomaintenance workers repair the equipment timely to improve the work efficiency.
