With the evoluation of network convergence and mobile Internet, a common user can usesimultaneously or alternately more than one communication terminals. The thesis focuses on how tobuild a control platform that can manage multiple user terminals, make full use of the servicecapability of each, and enable them to join a cooperative group. The thesis firstly analyzes the characteristics of multi-terminal cooperation and typicalapplications of a network control platform for the cooperation. The disussion includesheterogeneous network integration, multi-path transmission technology and multi-terminal groupingtechnology. A scenario designed for the best terminal selection and network selection is presentedaccordingly. Secondly, it discusses the supporting technology of the network control platform, including transmission control, service control, terminal grouping, QoS and service logic excutingenvironment. In the following, the thesis designs a multi-terminal control platform, based on an open sourcepackage mobicents, including two parts: the network control environment and service controlenvironment. The former aims at transmission control, including the policy-based routing andmultipath management. The latter, service control environment, manages all kinds of serviceapplication, which run a specific service. The design employs a hierarchical architecture, namelyseparation of network and service control. The modular approach is used for the design of servicecomponents to facilitate extensions in the future. Finally, the thesis presents the development of a prototype of the network control platform, including QoS control based on re-configured routers, terminal handover control based on SCTP,terminal grouping management and call control. The prototype testing is carried out to verify thefunctionality. The results show that the prototype can successfully manage terminals grouping andmake a best selection in the call control according to the network status and context of terminalusing. |
