As the Mobile Internet, Internet Of Things, and the continuous development of CloudComputing, as well as the increasing number of mobile terminal equipment, network equipment,There is a great demand for these devices based on the IP protocol. the needs of today’s IPv4address has been fully allocated, IP address has become scarce, and can not meet the growingdemand on the IP address. Therefore, IPv4transition to IPv6has become inevitable.IPv6has the huge number of addresses, the efficient routing header, greater security and betterquality of service.Faced with the increasing scarcity of IP address, the various countries of theworld start to plan for the Next-generation Internet IPv6. The Shanghai World Expo, GuangzhouAsian Games and University Game in Shenzhen have deployed some of the Next-generationInternet applications, which promote the development of Internet technology and bring greatconvenience to the country and people.IPv4transition to the Next-generation Internet IPv6is imperative,This article first introduces theIPv4and IPv6Internet protocols, then elaborates the most widely used technology of threetransition today, and uses the GNS3setting up network model to achieve network interoperability. This thesis uses the software of GNS3to build a simple model of the campus network for IPv6’stransition, after that users can access the IPv4/IPv6network.In order to make the mobile terminalmaintain communication uninterrupted while roaming, this article gives the concept of Mobile IP,analyzes the difference between Mobile IPv4and Mobile IPv6for communication, then analyzesthree Handover Technologies of Mobile IPv6. After that, OPNET establishs network models ofMobile IPv6, then analyzes the different parameters of delay and flow betwwen route optimizationmechanism and bi-directional tunneling mechanism.
