Currently, application has become the key to the development of the Internet of Things.Therefore, many R&D teams hope the developed services can be found and used quickly by using adescription language and mechanism. With the growing of the services, lead so many servicesprovide a similar function. However, the current service selection algorithm can’t help users to findthe highest quality service. Users want to solve the problem of finding service quickly and selectingthe suitable service effectively by some richer tools or effective ways. Therefore, how to use adescription language to represent a service for being discovered and managed, and how to use aservice selection mechanism for selecting the better quality service quickly and accurately in themany services with similar functions have important research value.The thesis researches on the Internet of Things service description language and selectionalgorithm. It proposes a service description language of Internet of Things based on the ExtensibleMarkup Language to make a service to be found and managed in time. The language adds contextinformation for the Internet of Things, simple and extensible.The thesis proposes a mixed subjective and objective factors algorithm for Internet of Thingsin service selection by combining the description language. The algorithm not only eliminatesmostly user’s evaluation unreliability and restores the most realistic evaluation, but also considersthoroughly the objective quality of service factors. Simulations of the algorithm shows that asuccess rate is over90%with the selection process taking less than100ms even when the candidateservices are as high as10,000, which is more accurate and quick than traditional service selectionalgorithms.The thesis implements the proposed description language and service selection algorithm, itallows users query and use the better quality service on the platform quickly.
