The all distributed bus is one of development directions of the automatic control system development. It has more advantages obviously in the application scope, expansibility and anti-malfunction ability over the centralized control system and distributed control system. Owes much to its unique design, the CAN bus is applicable to the system analogous to electrical equipments for military purpose demanding high performance, with high performance, high reliability and strong anti-jamming ability, etc.Along with the number increasing dramatically of the electronically control units and the electrical equipments used in the vehicle-borne radar, the cable total is very large and cable wiring is a heavy and complex systems engineering in the traditional system composition, usually accompanied by increasing the total weight, increasing the cost, reducing the reliability of the system more evidently. The digital all distributed system designed with CAN bus technology is one of the hottest solution to resolve above mentioned problems.CAN bus is the central nerve of a automation control system, whose reliability must be considered seriously as one of the key performance indicators when designing the bus system. The CAN bus protocol itself has strong capability of fault tolerant, but the malfunction of CAN bus will race up as traffic increases. Besides, it is very difficult for the CAN bus to eliminate the permanent fault. In order to improve the reliability of CAN bus, this paper put forward a solution with dual CAN bus based on the field bus redundant technology, implemented on the servo system of a vehicle-borne radar. The experiment verifies that the performance of the redundant CAN bus achieves all the expected requirements. The servo system of vehicle-borne radar has following characteristics. First, the CAN bus is partially redundancy, just the physical layer and the data link layer are redunded. Second, the design uses software methods combining hardware circuit to solve the complex electromagnetic environment and the seriously interference in the vehicle-borne radar, appreciating the anti-jamming and reliability of the CAN mode. Third, several different styles of CAN mode are designed for the realization of the miniaturization, digitization, generalization and modularization of the servo devices used in the vehicle-borne radar. The servo system for vehicle-borne radar, based on dual CAN bus redundant technology, has complete function, excellent performance, flexible composition, good expansibility and high reliability. It increase effectively the automation of servo system in vehicle-borne radar. It is a cost-effective system, and possessed of popularization and application value.
