The computer fault-tolerant system is a redundant system composed of multi computers by redundant resource and structure according to the definite fault-tolerant principle. When run-time error comes forth,the fault-tolerant system will continue executing the procedure and giving out proper results depending on the inner resident capability. With the information ages' coming and the widespread applications of computer technology,the reliability of computer systems was paid more attention in some fields. So developing the research of computer fault-tolerant system and fault-tolerant technology is very important.This paper explicates the theoretical foundation,model structure,composing form and evaluation in detail. We investigated the architectures of three typical computer fault-tolerant systems such as Triple Modular Admixture Redundancy System,Buildup Dual Computer Comparing System and Dual Computer Comparing System with Hot Standby,and descript them with the Markov model. The reliability and safety model of these fault-tolerant systems are acquired through theoretical analyzing and calculating. With analyzing,we defined the systems' task interval available time section in reason,compared their reliability and safety and evaluated their reliabilities. According to their mathematics' model and taking the influences of the coverage ratio and maintenance ratio into account,we compiled the simulating programs with MATLAB language. During the task interval available time section,we simulated and calculated the reliabilities and safeties of the systems,and acquired the systems' variety rules of reliability and security. Since the system parameters faulty coverage ratio and maintenance ratio influence the system's reliability and security,we analyze them and find out they play an important role in the evaluation of fault-tolerant system.At last,this paper give out some tentative plans and some suggestions about the related technologies and research thought of lucubrating the fault-tolerant technology and indicates that its opening and standardization is the precondition for this technology's prevalence.
