MANET(Mobile Ad Hoc Network) is a self-organization, centerless mobile network which is composed of wireless transceiver terminals. Theses terminals can not only run some user-oriented applications, but also act as routers to form some wireless topologies. It does not rely on any fixed infrastructures and has high robustness, so it is widely used in such areas as battles and rescues.Under real circumstances, mobile devices are often carried and controlled by socialized individuals, so its mobile characteristics are also related to social human relationships. But presently, the research on Ad Hoc mobility models and routing protocols can not better reflect the characteristics of the social relationships and still lack of the parameters to evaluate the social relation between individuals. Due to the unreality of many synthetic models such as RPGM and RWP in Ad Hoc network simulations, we point out interest difference can be a parameter to evaluate the social relationships between individuals, and propose a social interest difference based mobility model for Ad Hoc network (SI2M). Also, in order to research the influence of social relationship on routing protocols, we provide an interest difference based AODV (I-AODV) for Ad Hoc network, aiming to make the message forwarded by those interested individuals under the condition of the shortest path. The provided protocol can improve the reliability of the path by increasing the link duration as well as converge more interested individuals. We prove the SI2M model is more realistic and can better reflect the mobility of real individuals by simulation. On such basis, we further use NS2to simulate and compare SI2M with other ones and compare I-AODV with DSDV and AODV under SI2M, RPGM and RWP. The results show I-AODV is more suitable for SI2M, and I-AODV can increase average link duration, further more, improve the reliability of the path.At last, we make a conclusion of the paper and show the future work.
