Exploration&Production Company(E&P) is one of the most main professionalcorporations of PetroChina Company Limited, responsible for domestic oil and gasexploration, development and production. In recent years, the investment of informationsystems construction has been increased continuously and a number of information systemswere completed, among that, the integrated information and production reporting system ofE&P provided support to the13subsidiaries affiliated to business units of corporation for oiland gas production data and report management. The data size of oil reservoirs report, naturalgas report and production run reports reached24million data points. How make the data playa better role? The emphasis lies in mining the potentially and valuable information from theanalyzed data..In this thesis, we proposed the thought of introducing business intelligence into oil andgas production report management for further analysis and processing of data. The oil and gasproduction base data involved in oil and gas production report as the data pool, combiningwith data mining and data warehouse theory, determining the analysis theme of the oil and gasproduction multidimensional data analysis, proposed the models and methods of constructingthe oil and gas production report data warehouse of E&P. Carried out the design, deploy,configure and run of ETL package on SSIS components platform of SQL Server; designed andimplemented oil and gas production report multidimensional analysis system based on NETplatform; realized the front-end display of pivot charts applying data slice, data cut, datadrill-down and data rotation of OLAP; created data mining model using SSAS componentsand displayed data mining results in different algorithms.Based on the above study, created the data warehouse of oil and gas production report,met the needs of oil and gas production analysis reports for users, achieved the intuitive showfor data mining results on the basis of the data mining model, enhanced analysis ability to oiland gas production report data, and supported assistant decision support for the productionmanagers.
