Research On BCM Of J Fund Management Company Based On Disaster Recovery

In Chinese domestic finance area, Fund managements pay more attention to prepare the anti-disaster plans and solutions. From the beginning of2007, Fund managements started to build the disaster recovery system thoroughly under the requirements from CSRC(China Securities Regulatory Commission). Construction of DRC(disaster recovery center) became the main task during that period. After finished constructing the disaster recovery center based on information technology, the key issue is to build the integrated business continuities management (BCM) system and exert its functions effectively.The BCM which this thesis referred mainly talks about how to organize the human resources, business and system to run successfully under the disaster environment.The case of J fund management will be mainly analyzed on how to construct and improve the system in this thesis. Followed by the requirements of BS25999Standard, the system of J fund management’s BCM based on disaster recovery was analyzed detailedly. The problems of Scope and applicability, The business continuity management policy, BCM Program management, Embedding BCM in the organization’s culture were found out and classified, Researching the characteristics of fund house and fund industry, we work out the basic reasons. Based on results of BS25999standard, we combine the three-phases-theory of crisis management(those are:before the event,during the event and after the event) to rebuild the BCM structure of J fund management. And finally, we submit an integrated BCM structure suggestions.From the views of risk management and operation, A new integrated BCM structure was created in this thesis. It combines BCM organization structure, business analysis flows, emergency responding flows, management structure, maintenance and development direction together. When the disaster appears, J fund management could follow the guides to work and never worry about the influences. The thesis not only offered the BCM solutions to J fund management on its BCM systems, but also supplied the reference values to other fund managements and even the fund industry.
