With the popularity of shortwave communication, shortwave channel quality is generallyworse. Plus user shortwave communication demand coverage area is increased, so theshort-wave communication is gradually to develop in the direction of greater power. Currentlyonly2to3communications equipment production enterprises with the production of short5kW and above power transmitter, and the product in the application of the remains are toobulky, electromagnetic compatibility and reliability are insufficient to meet the increasing userdemands and other problems, so5kW shortwave broadband power amplifier design andengineering implementation is a great prospect work.This study aimed to design to meet user requirements of high power short wavetransmitter, the main contents include shortwave broadband power amplifier researchsignificance and technical current situation, a detailed description of the5kW shortwavebroadband power amplifier design, initial experiments conclusion, scheme demonstration,application problems and solutions, finally implementation of the prototype to achieve theindicators and the whole development process of experience.Research work mainly focused on several part:High power transmitter is composed of a plurality of the base module through powersynthesis composition, basic module performance index for the functions play a decisiverole, power amplifier tube selection, input and output matching circuit module design, theefficiency and linearity are the research focus.Material selection of power combination, network parameters design and simulation ofhigh power, the effects of parasitic parameters, the actual bearing of large power loss andheat dissipation problem is the focus of the study.Various measures and circuit of protection, ensuring the high reliability.
