Web Access Authentication Of Campus Network Which Is Applied In The Shibboleth

With the development of Internet technology and the increasing popularity of networkapplications, the campus network resources has become increasingly diverse,and networkapplications has become increasingly complex.Although it provide users with a widernetwork resource sharing and information exchange platform, at the same time it challengethe network management and network security issues, these issues become even moreimportant in the campus network.This paper deeply analyse Web access authentication and descripes the systemarchitecture with function requirement degsign based on introduction of various mainstreamaccess authentication technology program and single point of login program. The systemincludes seven modules: the snmp module, online user module, user synchronization module,the authentication module, Shibboleth module, certified front-end module and admin-sidemodule. This paper describes the design of these modules and implementation details,including the realization of online users list, users online detected through the heartbeatmessages, algorithm of cookie watermark generate, repair startup mechanism of how toprotect the service to recovery continuously and design of admin-side, etc. Web accessauthentication system that completely applies to campus network, and ultimately, further useof the specificity of the access control certification as Shibboleth IdP, expanded itsapplicability.Finally, Web access authentication actual test, in addition to including various normaland abnormal usage to test whether the system can provide sufficient safety and effectivenessso that services run continuously, includes system performance testing to test whether thesystem can meet the demand for large amount of campus users. The test results show that thesystem could implement basic function of access authentication, but also to protect theinteraction within users and system securely, and can effectively support the use of largeamount campus user.
