With unprecedented development of the real estate industry in o ur country,the demandof ceramics market that has tightly around the real estate become more and more huge.Due to the improvement of people’s income and quality of appreciation, the demand ofceramic tile of high quality continues to expand. These ceramics require precise size, inaddition, seamless collage need much more on accuracy. In this paper, a dimensionalmeasurement method with high accuracy for large size ceramic floor tiles based on themachine vision using single camera is presented.The significance and technology of detection for ceramic of large size is e laborated.The measurement program used in machine and method of image capturing are analyzedand compared. For the problem existed in the system of tile online detection measurement.A dimensional measurement method with high accuracy for large size ceramic floor tilesbased on the machine vision using single camera is presented. In order to overcome theContradiction between large size and single camera, an optical system integrated thereflective light path transformation unit is designed, the images of the four corners of thetiles are acquired by the single camera rather than the whole image. According to the objectof measuring and efficiency of measuring, three programs integrated reflective light pathtransformation unit that used to capture image. Design of structure of program、principle ofimaging、results of imaging are analyzed,Experiment of imaging is done by using prototypethat we manufacture. By analysis of the three programs and combined with the requirementsand capabilities of the image processing algorithm. The way to obtain specific size ofceramic is calculated by comprehensive, reliable formula deduction. These three programswas compared and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of each. The measurementalgorithm of ceramic of large size based on the border search fitting and dynamiccompensation amount is proposed. In the algorithm, consider the case of actual productionof tiles offset and rotation, using the tiled four corners of the image of the acquisition,through its boundary search and measuring the size of the dynamic compensation, obtainprecision of the diagonals and edges of the ceramic tiles long. Through this algorithm,obtain precision of the diagonals and edges of the ceramic tiles long. Image processing algorithm based on the measurement of border search and dynamic compensation, Take Labview as tiles measuring system software carrier.The measuring system of tile that using a single camera is used in tile sizemeasurement experiment.First, debug the tiles measuring equipment, secondly takencalibration experiments, Last Started the experiment. Select different tiles of600*600mmand800*800mm specifications in common market as subjects. The experimental resultsshow that measuring system of tiles with single-camera has a high measurement accuracywhich can be achieved or even exceeded the national standard requirements.
