The Design And Implementation Of Web-Based Online Examination System

With the rapid development of network technology and information technology,it’s a development trend of all kinds of occupations to introduce various kinds of newtechnology into traditional fields. As the test area of new technology and newknowledge, colleges and universities are the forthgoer of this field. For the past fewyears, college expansion extend has increased and the student quantity increased.However, the increment speed of the quantity of college teachers is far less than theincrement speed of the quantity of college students, which causes the lack of teacherresources. When the exam comes, teachers have to spend a lot of time to set thequestions to test students and go over the examination papers.According to the problems in the whole test process of Chongqing InformationTechnology College, This subject develop a WEB-based online examination systemwhich is built on campus network environment. It can build scientific collection,classification, storage of questions information, covering all kinds of current questionsused in examinations, grading objective questions automatically work. It’s a flexible andefficient use of test mode to organize college students to practice and have formalexamination.This dissertation focuses on research and discussion of the key technologies of thesystem functionality and the system realize. Firstly, it analyzes the research background,research significance and the main research content of WEB-based online examinationsystem. It proposes the use of modern computer technology, database technology andnetwork communication technology development of WEB-based online examinationsystem, and this proposal is based on the traditional organization of the examination andexamination manual scoring and other analysis. After analyzing the theoretical principleof the system, this dissertation gives a detailed analysis on system needs. Then, after thedesign of the concept of system function module and database, this dissertationproposes to develop the system on Dreamwaver CS5platform with Microsoft Windows2003Server as a system server. It contains subject management, test management,correcting papers, general management, exam news and other modules of the system, including the whole process of input from the questions, creating paper, organizetraining and examinations and scoring. The system develops with the "high cohesion,low coupling" design principle, and fully reflects the most popular modular ideas. Thesystem’s functional modules serve for the same system, and they are also independenton other modules.WEB-based online examination system on the internet, as the auxiliary testsoftware of Chongqing Information Technology, its own security and system datasecurity are very important. This dissertatio designed a set of secure program which suitfor this system after a detailed analysis on operational condition of this system. Finally,this dissertatio discussed and prospected the limitations and shortcomings of thesystem.
