With the information technology integrated into people’s daily life, the human-computer interaction has become a major bottleneck restricting the development of computing technology."People-oriented" and "human harmony" has got more and more people’s attention. An important development of HCI is the extensive application of the touch screen. Multi-touch technology, as a new interactive tools with its unique intelligent, collaborative, natural, has got more and more attention of researchers. With the Apple iPad, iPhone and Microsoft’s Surface into people’s lives, multi-touch products are gradually changing the traditional interaction habits. The multi-touch technology gives people a natural and convenient way to interact directly with the information content. However, due to multi-point touch technology is lack of a unified theoretical guidance and application development methodology, software interactions based on the windows and menu mode is still dominant. In this thesis, three problems faced by the new software interaction under the multi-touch environment are discussed and the corresponding solutions are given. The main contents are:1. For the mouse to point the menu is not suited to the multi-touch environment, a radiation tree hierarchy menu performance is proposed, which is suitable for a variety of gestures and improve the efficiency of the software used.2. A certain degree of research of gesture recognition is carried on multi-touch. The complex multi-point gestures are decomposed to the collection of time series and single gesture. The single gestures are classified through matching the improved Hausdorff distance calculation.3. The study of designing a way of multi-point gestures by non-technical’users to induce gestures, followed by analysis and comparison of large data, collected by aloud thinking method, then design gestures collection to meet the user’s mental model.
