Peer-to-peer (P2P) network with self organization, strong fault tolerance, strong expansion, and other advantages,thus is especially suitable for wide area network coverage in various applications. The famous document distribution system Bit Torrent to achieve high-speed wide area network cooperative file download; The Network telephone system Skype, to achieve which based on peer to peer network of high quality IP phones.Along with the application of P2P technology becomes more and more popular, P2P streaming system based on P2P technology has become one of the hotspot researches in distributed system.This paper tries to apply P2P network and streaming media technology are combined, in the study of the current model and the technology based on the framework, a P2P based live video broadcasting system, and the related problems are studied, including the bottom overlay network system operation--the planning and Realization of heterogeneous network, the optimization algorithm and error control and recovery of. This combination of stream media application characteristics and requirement, put forward a distributed environment of single source application layer multicast protocol SSAMP (Single Source Application Layer Multicast protocol), and discusses the SSAMP protocol in support node, node status maintenance, node leave and failure, loop detection and elimination and other aspects of the core algorithm. At the same time, in order to better adapt to the generalized network heterogeneous characteristics, this paper also focuses on the heterogeneous network under the priority assignment algorithm for path, through H.264/SVC coding after cutting all layers gives different priority, and according to client bandwidth size decided to each client extraction hierarchical data.Use the idea of software engineering, this paper gives the system concrete realization plan, through the simulation experiment results show that, the study design of the system through the path priority allocation algorithm in heterogeneous network lets play end receive better quality of hierarchical data, and under the P2P network environment to achieve better performance, to video streaming functional and performance requirements.
