Currently, there are two main ways to store data in China: online storage andoffline storage, which are able to meet the basic feature of Disaster Recovery by batchdata recovery. But there are more market requirements based on this basic disasterrecovery feature now, for example, quick searching, preventing virus, etc. It is hard tocome true in the traditional online and offline storage method.Near-line storage, thetopic elaborated in this thesis, can achieve those requirements. In order to make betteruse of Near-line storage system,it is necessary to provide Near-line storage controlsoftware with plentiful APIs to customer.The flowing chart of the thesis will focus on the main content. The Jukebox APIsin Near-line storage system Control Software was described from the needs analysis,system design, system reality and test. It provides the development base for developingJukebox APIs source code. System design will introduce how to manage jukeboxsystem by UI operation. UI operation includes lcd operation and Iscsi operation.Jukebox system management includes jukebox status management, jukebox actionmanagement, element status management, element action management, and loggermanagement. The system reality part will introduce the series of operation managementwhich is realized by UI call jukebox APIs.The Jukebox APIs is the aggregation of driveoperation controlled by other management model. Jukebox APIs includes initializationand hardware model controlled by the elements aggregation which coming from UI.The elements aggregation is included by four parts.1) The communication betweenserial port and ARM7;2) check the status of mailbox, driver, sensor and RTC;3) readand write the current status and important error message in Fram;4) read and write theerror logger in SD card which is important reference for maintenance team.The main design methodology&scheme will be elaborated by one set of interfacewhich is easily plugged in by other users through consistent upper interface. The one setof interface reacts on separating the user from jukebox operation. Meanwhile, theseinterfaces are convenient for update.The jukebox achievement mentioned in thesis had applied to Yunnan Telecom400 inquiry system with great result. Yunnan Telecom had decided to upgrade the systemand expand jukebox to other business departments...
