Research And Design Of Jukebox

This paper studies the mechanism of domestic and international Jukebox being used in recent years and presents a type of jukebox storage system which is different from current jukebox. Four layers of CDs are arrayed in a round transparent storage box in the bottom of this system. CDs' presetting is performed by an eight-arm frame robot which can rotate around the two CD-drivers in the center. The rotation of the eight-arm frame is driven by a stepping motor which is controlled by computer. To realize the precise allocation and reduce, the friction between the discs and its' contactings the specific CD preparing movement patter is selected from uniform motion and reformed trapezoid motion by computer according to the position of the selected disc.We supposed two kinds of jukebox systems according to the potential users. One kind can used to connect with PC, the other to connect with VCD or DVD players.The layout of the mechatronic control system is also presented in this paper. SCSI can be used in connecting CD-drivers and the computer interface which can connect several external equipments without collision. Control units can be connected to the computer by IEEE.
