Background: With the continuous development of modern society, the amount o finformation generated by the various disciplines surge, more and more variety of research,was done to the statistics, the time of their lives to researchers of any discipline are not thesubjects related papers are reading. In this case, the role of abstracts is becoming moreprominent. The summary is written on the paper titles, drawn from the original written in animportant part of the independent section of. Generally short and pithy summary, informative,and provides a very convenient way for readers to browse the vast sea of text to find thearticles they need, and, over time, each subject the amount of information is increasing, thesummary also is bound to play a greater role. Although the summary of the increasinglyimportant role, but the writing of the abstract is not satisfactory. According to statistics, thereare96.78%of the readers read the paper will first read the summary, and most of the readersare not satisfied with the current summary of the quality of writing, affecting the use of paper,therefore, improve the quality of the writing of journal abstracts imminent. Objective:Combined impact of library science three factor ranking of the three core journals over thepast decade (20022011) published abstracts sample survey to assess the quality of thesummary to find out the current paper writing exists problems and explore ways to improvethe writing of journal abstracts. Methods: literature analysis and analytic hierarchy process,statistics and analysis of the summary of aspects in recent years in the foreign languageliterature to identify research trends and inadequate; and library science in the decade, threerepresentative journals published in the literature sample, extract the two journals published ineach year a summary of the thesis, combined with domestic and foreign research and libraryscience thesis writing characteristics of the preparation of rating scale, and quality assessmentsampling abstracts, and finally The assessment results were analyzed using various statisticalanalysis methods.
