Design and research of laser shaft alignment system based on virtual instrument,mainly to solve the wrong position of the axis between rotating parts,the research haspractical significance to improve the overall level of mechanical equipment manu-facturing.The measurement method of shaft alignment and the present situation of laser shaftalignment for both at home and abroad has been discussion in the paper.The principle ofsemiconductor laser and position sensitive detector (PSD) was briefly introduced. Themathematical model of the laser shaft alignment was detailed introduced in the paper.The mathematical model easy to program with software, it is flexible and convenientwhen actual measurement. The laser shaft alignment system can real-time adjustmentsin both directions of90degrees and180degrees.The hardware circuit of the systemmainly including PSD signal processing circuit,8channel12-Bits ADCs conversioncircuit, data communication circuit and other parts.The key part including PSD signalprocessing circuit and A/D converter circuit. Discussed the PSD output of non-linearproblems and puts forward a simple and feasible mathematical algorithm to the PSDnon-linear error compensation. The communication and computer programh has beenwritten. Design the intuitive operation and convenience interface to display the lasershaft alignment deviation.The testing experiment has been done which is about of the laser shaft alignmentsystem’s each functional parts and whole system.The experiment Include8channel12-Bits ADCs experiment, Discretization experiment of PSD non-linear compensationand the whole system experiment.Through the experiments proved the laser shaftalignment system has good stability and high precision and convenient operation.Thedesign has been achieved the desired goal.
