Ultrasonic testing technology is one of the most important test methods ofnondestructive testing which has been widely applied in the safety monitoring of keyparts, safety testing equipment and on-line quality control, etc. Digital ultrasonic flawdetection system is the important trend of ultrasonic detection.Therefore, thedevelopment digital ultrasonic flaw detection system to improve and promote theultrasonic technology with practical significance.Digital ultrasonic flaw detection system mainly includes the device hardwarecircuit, PC and device under the USB communication function, PC interface designand waveform display, and other parts. The device hardware circuit includesultrasonic transmission circuit, ultrasonic receiving circuit and high speed dataacquisition circuit. Ultrasonic transmission circuit is square wave signal to controlproduce timer switch device conduction and shutoff, which causes the high pressureand narrow pulse signal used in incentive probe to produce ultrasonic. Ultrasonicreceiving circuit consists of amplifier circuit, the wave ratio detection circuit andlow pass filter circuit, which can receive the ultrasonic echo signal. High speed dataacquisition circuit is based on the time division control access to the thought. Itchooses C8051F340single-chip microcomputer which can control high-speed digitalconverter AD9057to realize acquisition and storage of ultrasonic signals. The USBcommunication function is using the API which was provided by Silicon Labs to writethe corresponding program and accomplish the sampled data fast transmission. Writethe PC program through VB6.0software can achieve the function of collect data onthe waveform display and analysis etc.Lastly, through the ultrasonic inspection to the block, it realized receiving theultrasonic echo signal, the data transmission, waveform display and test resultsstorage, playback, and other functions. It also solved the problem of traditional analogultrasonic flaw detector and no record, showed no intuition, which can reduce theinfluence of the artificial factors. A large number of experimental data and resultsverified the validity and availability of the digital ultrasonic flaw detection system.
