in recent years, with the rapid development of computer graphics, simulation of natural scenery has become one of the most challenging problems in computer graphics, the attention of the dynamic simulation of the natural landscape began to increase, especially on the natural dynamic simulation of the phenomenon because the natural phenomena is more complex than the man-made objects, the physical model is also relatively difficult. On water, clouds, flames, snow and other natural features of the simulation plays an important role in advertising, games, movies and other fields, and its development have an important impact on animation.Flow simulation is more complex and difficult than the mountains, clouds, fog, water simulation, which is more complicated because the produce of water movement needs to meet certain conditions, the shape of the water is extremely irregular, but also more complex and random and a variety of forces act in the process flow and solving dynamics of water partial differential equations is difficult.Flow simulation using physical models is applied mathematics function construction method for solving equations, the wave is only suitable for static wave image. The paper starts from shallow water wave equation of the movement of the water, and uses improved finite volume method solve this equation, the final solution which can be processed by OpenGL,which can dynamically shows different flow wave forms in the various moments. In addition, the paper also describes the various methods for solving the Navier-Stokes equations, and describes the shallow water wave equations.Earlier in this section describes the status of flow simulation topics, as well as the various methods used, the middle part introduces how to use the finite volume method and other methods for solving the shallow water wave equations and gets the movement patterns of water waves, the last part of this paper uses experiment simulate the flow phenomena.
